Business Forum in London by the UK-Cyprus Enterprise Council and RCB Bank

The UK-Cyprus Enterprise Council and RCB Bank organized on January 26th 2017 an event for businessmen at The Connaught in London in the presence of His Excellency Euripides Evriviades, the Cyprus High Commissioner to the United Kingdom. Titled "Cyprus Banking and Financial Services Sector", the meeting brought together more than 70 London-based distinguished businessmen and professionals.

The Chairman of the UK-Cyprus Enterprise Council and Chairman of PGD Strategy Mr. Peter Droussiotis welcomed the businessmen and made particular note of the already excellent financial relations between the two countries and thanked them for attending the meeting which aims at highlighting the return of Cyprus’ banking and financial sector and the country’s economy at large to stability and growth.

The Cyprus High Commissioner to the United Kingdom underlined the long, deep and excellent relations between the two countries. Mr. Evriviades was keen to note that despite Brexit, Cyprus and the United Kingdom enjoy very strong bilateral relations on both a political and a financial level. Mr. Evriviades expressed the country’s commitment in continuing to work and cooperate closely with the UK as partners in the Commonwealth. Brexit was the topic of a highly interesting speech prepared by Sir Christopher Pissarides, Nobel Laureate in Economics and member of the board of directors of RCB Bank and read to the attendants by Mr. Peter Droussiotis. Building trust in the banking and financial services sector through Corporate Social Responsibility was the topic presented by Mr. Simon Pitsillides, owner of FBRH Consultants Ltd.
