Launch of two factor authentication for RCB Online Banking and RCB Mobile Banking

13 September, 2019

Dear clients,

In accordance with the European Payment Service Directive (PSD2) aimed at ensuring stronger customer authentication for payments, RCB Bank introduces the two-factor client authentication for online and mobile payments - RCB Digital Key powered by Entrust® IdentityGuard Mobile Soft Token application.

This requirement comes into force starting from September 14, 2019 and will be mandatory for all clients using the Bank’s remote service channels.

It’s a new, convenient and secure way to use RCB’s Remote Banking Services.

With RCB Digital Key, your hardware token is no longer required and you will be able to login and confirm transactions in RCB Online Banking and RCB Mobile Banking using One Time Password (OTP) or Push message from your mobile device.

Set up the two-factor authentication using RCB Digital Key from September 16, 2019 as follows:

  1. Go to RCB Online Banking and login using your credentials including OTP.
  2. Accept new customer authentication method by clicking CONTINUE.
  3. Follow instructions to download the Entrust mobile application from Google Play or App Store and set up the soft token.
  4. Return the hardware token to your closest RCB Branch as it is no longer needed.

For more information, please contact RCB Telephone Banking: 800 00 722 (from Cyprus) and +357 25 355 722 (from abroad).

Yours faithfully,
