Migration of RCB Bank cards transactions in internet to Strong Customer Authentication
Dear Clients,
To enhance the security of card payments through the internet and reduce the risk of online fraud, kindly note that we start the migration process to the Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) for internet payments.
This is a mandatory requirement of the European Payment Service Directive (PSD2) and it means that all card transactions over the internet for RCB cardholders will be authorized via the RCB Digital Key powered by the Entrust App. The said authorization process is already well known to you as it is applied for your RCB Online Banking and RCB Mobile Banking transactions.
Starting from December 15, 2020, RCB Bank cardholders will start receiving Entrust push authorizations for card payments online.
However, you might still be getting One-Time-Password via SMS. The method of authentication will purely depend on the merchant, the payment system and the level of implementation of the regulatory requirements by them.
With the increasing amount of online purchases, extra protection will ensure that your money is safe and secure.

Yours faithfully,
