RCB Bank participated in the Queen’s Baton Relay for the Commonwealth Games
RCB Bank, as major sponsor for the Cyprus National Olympic Committee (CNOC) participated in the Queen’s Baton Relay (QBR) which kicked off its 294-day journey across the globe in Cyprus over the weekend (9-10/10/2021) for the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
RCB Bank’s Deputy Head of Business Christoforos Stylianides was a proud “baton bearer” together with the British High Commissioner Stephen Lillie, Chairman of the Cyprus National Olympic Committee CNOC George Chrysostomou and dozens of Cypriot athletes who competed in the Olympic Games and will compete in the Commonwealth Games.
The Baton Relay is an inspiring tradition of the Commonwealth Games, which brings together all Commonwealth countries on a collective journey, igniting hope, solidarity and collaboration for the next generation.
Cyprus will be represented by 40 - 50 athletes in the Commonwealth Games 2022 covering most sports.
The baton will travel to 72 Commonwealth nations and territories carrying the Queen’s message to the Commonwealth, ahead of the Commonwealth Games that will take place in Birmingham from the 28th of July until the 8th of August 2022.
