RCB celebrated 20 successful years in Cyprus
RCB Bank Ltd celebrated its 20th anniversary with a charity event that took place on Tuesday October 27th 2015 in the evening at the Presidential Palace where 10 charity organizations received 10,000 Euros each in support of their work.
Welcoming the guests at the event, the President of the Republic Mr. Nicos Anastasiades praised the bank for its multifaceted social corporate responsibility and its genuine care for the Cyprus society over the last two decades and stated that “RCB Bank is an international bank that has become an integral part of the Cypriot banking sector and the Cypriot economy and has offered tangible and significant support to the country. Now that our economy is recovering and returning to growth, we can only applaud RCB’s expansion plan in the local market with the opening of new branches and the consequent creation of new jobs, as well as the increase in its loan portfolio to Cypriot businesses”. President Anastasiades concluded with wishes and noted: "Congratulating you once again on RCB 20th anniversary, please accept our very best wishes for every success".
The Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Chairman of VTB Bank Supervisory Council, Mr. Alexei Ulyukayev and The President and Chairman of VTB Bank Management Board, Mr. Andrey Kostin flew from Moscow and honored the event with their presence and their speeches congratulating RCB Bank for its 20th anniversary.
The CEO of RCB Bank Ltd Mr. Kirill Zimarin, stated that "Cyprus for RCB is not a base, it is our country. We don’t only care for the Cypriot society but remain committed to support all worthy initiatives in aid of children, health organizations, charities, culture and sports. There is therefore no greater way to celebrate two decades of history in Cyprus than to support 10 of the most prominent charity organizations".
During the event, RCB Bank was awarded the prestigious "Best Bank in Cyprus" distinction at the 2015 Global Banking & Finance Awards which are organized by "The European", one of Europe’s most important publications. The guests had the opportunity to enjoy a performance by the internationally acclaimed tenor Mario Frangoulis.
